Easy One Pot Meals
Summer is officially almost over, which means the need to get back into a normal schedule for the school year. One thing my mom always made sure of was that we had a home cooked meal at least 5 times a week, to enjoy eating out on the weekends. For me as a new mom, I know that cooking at home is SO difficult while having an eight month old son. While I would never change this for the world, I do know it makes me prone to wanting to eat out more. Not only to save the hassle of cooking, but cleaning up a messy kitchen. I am always on the search for an easy recipe I can make at home while my son is napping. Something that doesn’t leave a huge mess, and can be made easily. The result of that search are these recipes I found that use literally only one pan (or pot) to cook in! Check out these super easy recipes that only require one cooking tool to cook in! This Sandwich Recipe is the EPITOME of Summer!
Now that Summer is upon us, it's time to enjoy the sun, friends, family, and having a good time! Personally, I like making something easy to eat on my summer days so I can get outside quicker! Grilled cheeses are definitely one of my go-to’s anytime, but especially during the summer! This sandwich embodies everything summer is about: Tropical, Easy Going , & Tasty Food! And here is the recipe!
Hawaiian Grilled Cheese
What You’ll Need:
4 tbsp. butter
8 slices white Hawaiian sweet bread
8 slices sharp cheddar
4 slices provolone
8 pineapple rings
1 c. teriyaki sauce
Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. In a large skillet over medium heat, place half the bread slices butter-side down. Top each slice of bread with 2 slices cheddar, 1 slice provolone, 2 pineapple rings, and 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce. Top with a second slice of bread, butter side up.
Cook until bottom bread slices are golden brown, 2 to 4 minutes. Flip and cook until golden brown and cheese is melted, 2 to 4 minutes more. Serve immediately. Recipe from Delish
Now I don't know about you, but this is about as easy as It can get! I understand that but about half of America believes that pineapple doesn't belong on pizza, HOWEVER in this case, it does belong on a grilled cheese FORSURE!!
